Where are you from? I have lived in Florida all of my life. I lived in Tampa, FL before I moved to the Homosassa area 17 years ago.
College: Hillsboro Community College
Job Title: Park Ranger
Employer: Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park
How long on job: 8 1/2 years
What my job is: It varies throughout the day, but one of my main jobs is to tranport visitors from the visitor center to the park. I drive them in a tram through the forest or take them on a boat ride on Pepper Creek. I also help with general maintenance and landscaping. I love to talk with kids and watch them have a good time at the park.
What I like best about my job: I love to be outdoors, and I spend most of my time outdoors. And I really enjoy meeting the people from all over the world who come to visit the park.
What don't like most about my job: It is hard to say because I really do enjoy my work, but one thing I don't like is having to be outside when there is lightning.
Advice for kids who would like a job like mine: To be a park ranger, you need to like the outdoors, the woods, and camping. You need to like, enjoy, and appreciate nature.

Goal: To get a job in the US Fish and Wildlife Service so that I can learn more about animals from other areas, not just Florida animals.
